Fig. 2Results of the meta-analysis of overall survival of locally advanced cervical cancer patients. Hazard ratios for OS were available in eight studies with a total of 2176 patients. The pooled HR for OS was 1.13 (95% CI 0.906–1.409). The heterogeneity among studies was not high (I = 11.9%, p = 0.326). The pooled estimated HR for all studies showed no significant difference (z = 1.08, p = 0.278)
Fig. 3Meta-analysis results for the overall survival of subgroups of patients with locally advanced cervical cancer. Subgroup analysis was performed based on stage IB-IIB disease. Hazard ratios for OS were available in six studies with total of 1915 patients. The pooled HR for OS was 1.169 (95% CI 0.924–1.480). The heterogeneity among studies was not high (I = 21.4%, p = 0.240). The pooled estimated HR for all studies showed no significant difference (z = 1.30, p = 0.193)
Fig. 4a and b Funnel plots for publication bias. Funnel plots were generated to assess publication bias. These plots showed obvious symmetry and no publication bias in the studies
