| 0 | No extension of the superior facet beyond the posterior border of the inferior facet (PFL) |
| 1 | Extension of the superior facet beyond the PFL but not beyond the midline of the inferior facet (MFL) |
| 2 | Extension of the superior facet beyond the MFL, or facet ankylosis |
