Figure 1Study Design and Conduct: after a one-week run-in phase, healthy participants assigned to the test group consumed one ampule of the food supplement together with 200 mL of water twice daily for eight weeks. Participants assigned to the control group consumed water only. Blood sampling (BS) was performed after the run-in phase (1st BS), four weeks into the intervention phase (2nd BS), and after completion of the intervention phase (i.e., eight weeks, 3rd BS).
