Abstract
BACKGROUND: Follow-up colonoscopy after a positive fecal immunochemical test (FIT) is necessary for colorectal cancer (CRC) screening to be effective. We report colonoscopy follow-up rates after a positive FIT overall and by population characteristics in the BeneFIT demonstration pilot, a Medicaid health insurance plan-delivered mailed FIT outreach program.Entities:

P values by logistic regression, controlling for age and preferred language, and clustered on health center (n = 82) Significance at P ≤ .10. Race/ethnicity was not included because of variation in direction of colonoscopy completion in opposite directions and large numbers of missing (n = 37).
Four enrollees were missing a preferred language.
