Test of the null hypothesis (analysis of variance or X2) that the mean of each variable is the same for all four racial/ethnic groups.
Depression was assessed with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Toolbox Patient‐Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) measure and standardized to a reference population that is generalizable to the 2000 U.S. Census.
Overall cognition is the standardized mean of executive function, semantic memory, and verbal memory. All cognitive domains have been standardized to the KHANDLE Wave I cohort.
Percent who reported engaging in the activity at least several times per month.
Linear regression models for the association between variety of cognitive activity participation and z‐standardized cognitive test scores for the full sample and stratified by race, KHANDLE
