Abstract
INTRODUCTION: Tumour location within the breast varies with the highest frequency in the upper outer quadrant (UOQ) and lowest frequency in the lower inner quadrant (LIQ). Whether tumour location is prognostic is unclear. To determine whether tumour location is prognostic, associations between tumour site and clinicopathological characteristics were evaluated.Entities:

Figure 1.Survival curve by tumour location. Median time to death was 1.52 years for UOQ, 5.69 years for UIQ, 3.08 years for LOQ, 6.03 years for LIQ, and 1.77 years for central.
Comparison of risk factors at diagnosis between tumour locations. Data are presented as proportion of individuals within each category.
