Figure 1Kaplan-Meier curve for recurrent infection-free survival. In total, 91.7% of 155 patients with periprosthetic joint infection remained clinically free of infection over the entire follow-up period. The survivorship without recurrent infection was 96.8% after 1 year and 94.3% after 3 years and became stationary at 91.7% after 5.5 years.
