Abstract
BACKGROUND: Youngsters with unilateral congenital below-elbow deficiency (UCBED) seem to function well with or without a prosthesis. Reasons for rejecting prostheses have been reported earlier, but unfortunately not those of the children themselves. Furthermore, reasons for acceptance are underexplored in the literature.Entities:

Notations: mos. = months, y/o = years old.
Number of participants distributed per participating rehabilitation center; the last number represents the number of participants recruited through other centers/organizations.
Characteristics of children of participating parents.
The values represent the actual number of hours per day (two wearers in children group and one wearer in parents’ group).
