The functional capacity evaluation: measuring maximal work abilities.

A K Tramposh1.

Abstract

Functional capacity evaluation (FCE) is a systematic, comprehensive, objective measurement of an individual's maximal work abilities. This article describes the uses, objectives, and components of FCEs, the various types of FCEs employed, and their advantages and disadvantages.
