Abstract
Twenty antituberculostatics and twelve other compounds were divided into three groups according to their ability to influence the rate of incorporation of 14C-adenine and 14C-leucine in M. smegmatis. The first group includes compounds significantly inhibiting the incorporation of 14C-leucine, the second group comprises compounds inhibiting simultaneously the incorporation of both 14C-precursors, the third group contains compounds that do not bring about a 50% decrease of the rate of incorporation even at a concentration of 400 micrograms/mL.Entities:
