Abstract
Malignant ovarian tumors remain a formidable challenge to practicing oncologists and diagnosticians alike. Computed tomography (CT) provides an excellent imaging modality for the evaluation of these patients. This article attempts to put in focus the role of CT in the staging of ovarian carcinoma, in the evaluation of recurrent tumor, and of treatment response. The relationship of CT to other imaging modalities, the natural history of ovarian carcinoma pertinent to CT imaging, and the proper CT technique are described.Entities:
