Figure 1Clear cell carcinoma on the upper pole of the left kidney, characterized by an inhomogeneous hyperechoic echotexture with fluid-filled lacuna (a); on color Doppler US evaluation, it appeared with poor peripheral vascularization (b); and on CEUS evaluation, the lesion showed rapid and inhomogeneous enhancement compared to the normal renal cortex parenchyma (c). As showed by the time-intensity curve (d), the renal mass has a higher peak of the signal intensity (PI) and an incremented regional blood volume (RBV) in comparison to the surrounding healthy parenchyma.
