Abstract
OBJECTIVES: Deregulation of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) levels reported in colorectal carcinogenesis contributes to key steps of cancer development. risk stratification for adenoma recurrence based on the endoscopic findings at baseline colonoscopy. Low-risk patients: 1–2 tubular adenomas <10 mm in size with low -grade dysplasia; High-risk patients: patients with adenomas with villous histology or high-grade dysplasia or ≥10 mm in size, or ≥3 adenomas.

A prior probability of 0.1 was assumed for the rs689466 and rs2555639 considering the available epidemiologic and functional data;[15, 17, 19, 20] For all other polymorphisms without previous evidences, a lower prior probability of 0.05 was considered. Only statistical significant associations are presented (P<0.05). Bold for FPRP<0.5, i.e., the statistical associations are less likely to represent false-positive findings.
