The small number of cases of hyperparathyroidism among treated patients leads to quasi complete separation (no observations of patients with hyperparathyroidism without postindex GI events among patients with preindex GI events). This resulted in very large maximum likelihood estimates. CI, confidence interval; GI, gastrointestinal; N/A, not applicable; NSAIDs, nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs.
