Abstract
BACKGROUND: Jumping to conclusions (JTC) is associated with psychotic disorder and psychotic symptoms. If JTC represents a trait, the rate should be (i) increased in people with elevated levels of psychosis proneness such as individuals diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD), and (ii) show a degree of stability over time.Entities:

FEP FU: first episode psychosis at one year follow-up. 44% of FEP displayed jumping to conclusions (one draw before taking a decision) vs 9% of controls and 19% of BPD patients (p<0.0001).
Association between jumping to conclusions (beads<1) and the group variable reflecting psychosis liability (linear trend and as 2 dummy variables compared with control group).
