Abstract
Robot-assisted surgery has changed the landscape of surgery. Implementation of robotics into most surgical specialties has left many educators challenged to develop the tools necessary to train and credential surgeons. Advances in robot-assisted surgery have led to the development of simulators and tools to assess skills that transfer to surgical practice. We report on current trends in robot-assisted surgical training, focus on simulation-based education, and anticipate future developments.Mesh:
