Colonoscopy withdrawal time and adenoma detection rates for trainees.

Shailendra Singh.

Abstract

Calculations of withdrawal time (WT) should be based on colonoscopies where no intervention is performed. Inclusion of procedures with interventional maneuvers, such as polypectomy or biopsy, for estimation of WT can lead to measurement bias and affect the validity of the study.
