Abstract
BACKGROUND: Survivin, one of the strongest apoptosis inhibitors, plays a critical role in the development and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). By comparison, relatively little is known about the effect of survivin gene polymorphisms on HCC susceptibility.
