Abstract
BACKGROUND: Approximately 20% of children experience internalizing or externalizing DSM-IV-TR disorders. This prevalence rate cannot be reduced through treatment only. Effective preventive interventions are therefore urgently needed. The aim of the current investigation is to evaluate the two-year efficacy of the group Triple P parenting program administered universally for the prevention of child behavior problems.Entities:

Note: Based on behavioral observation (Family Observation Schedule FOS; Sanders et al., 2000) and caregiver teacher ratings (TRF; Achenbach & Rescorla, 2000): Means (M), standard deviations (SD), intra group effect sizes (ES), and inter group effect sizes (IGES) for intervention (I) and control group (CG) for pre and 1- year Follow-up (FU). Sample sizes: two parent households: Behavioral Observation FOS: I = 154, CG = 60; Teacher Ratings TRF: I = 102, CG = 44. Sample sizes: single parent households: Behavioral Observation FOS: I = 28, CG = 31; Caregiver Teacher Ratings C-TRF: I = 14, CG = 17.
