Abstract
The placement of a ureteral stent is one of the most commonly performed urologic procedures. Indwelling ureteral stents are often accompanied by significant patient morbidity, including lower urinary tract symptoms, flank pain, and urinary tract infections. This article reviews the current state of ureteral stent technology developed to address the problem of stent discomfort and infection.Entities:
