Abstract
In this multicenter study, 249 patients who underwent tomographic technetium-99m sestamibi infarct size measurement at hospital discharge were followed up for a median duration of 7 months. Infarct size was significantly associated with mortality (chi-square = 5.8, p = 0.02) and could stratify patients into lower and higher risk subsets: 1-year mortality 2% for infarct size < 14% versus 8% for infarct size > or = 14% of the left ventricle.Entities:
