Abstract
The majority of women with breast cancer are adequately treated with breast-conserving surgery and radiation therapy. Although most women need very limited surgery, some require a larger volume of resection to attain a high level of local control, and some might even require a mastectomy. This article summarizes the current state of knowledge concerning the assessment of the adequacy of excision.Entities:
