Abstract
The combination of combinational protein chemistry and powerful selection techniques has resulted in the development of novel protein ligands based on the randomization of surface residues of a parental protein which is used as a scaffold. Such binding proteins, selected from libraries via specific binding towards a given target ligand, have the potential to replace natural antibodies in various biotechnological applications.Mesh:
