Abstract
This study empirically validated Antonovsky's suggestion that a Sense of Coherence is important in managing stress and remaining both physically and psychologically healthy. In both Anglo-American and Native American cultures, Sense of Coherence Measures were found to correlate negatively with measures of physical and mental distress. More interestingly, this study supported Antonovsky's prediction that people from various cultures may attain a similar level of a Sense of Coherence, despite great socioeconomic differences.Entities:
