Sibling Method for Detecting HLA-linked genes in disease.

Abstract

Where it is possible to ascertain a number of families each having two or more siblings with a particular disease, data from such families can be used to test for the presence or otherwise of important genes in the HLA chromosomal region causing susceptibility to the disease. The method for analysing such data is detailed.
