Abstract
As a group, carcinomas of the urinary bladder, prostate, and testis account for more than one third of all cancers occurring in men. Computed tomography is the imaging procedure of choice for postorchiectomy staging of testicular cancers. Transrectal ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging play important roles in the staging of prostate cancer. Magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, and transurethral ultrasonography are all capable of providing important information in the staging of bladder cancer. Carefully designed clinical trials will be needed to provide a sound scientific basis for guiding the judicious use of imaging tests for staging bladder and prostate cancer in the future.Entities:
