Abstract
We present a case of massive posterior epistaxis caused by a cavernous internal carotid artery aneurysm. This lesion was treated with endovascular placement of electrolytically detachable platinum embolization coils. The treatment resulted in cessation of epistaxis until the patient's death 3 months following embolization. We discuss aspects of using these above coils for this condition.Entities:
