Abstract
The analgesic efficacy and tolerability of nimesulide and naproxen were compared in 68 patients with advanced cancer who needed to be treated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs according to the first step of the pharmacological analgesic scale of the WHO. Patients received either nimesulide 200mg or naproxen 500mg twice daily. The analgesic efficacy and tolerability of the 2 drugs appeared to be similar. Both drugs were effective and were associated with a low incidence of adverse reactions.Entities:
