Imaging hepatic neoplasms.

Abstract

The various radiologic methods used in the detection of hepatic lesions in the oncologic patient are discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of each imaging technique as well as a new diagnostic approach are also discussed. With the rapid technological advances made in cross-sectional imaging, the authors believe that ultrasound and, whenever possible, computed tomography, should be used as the screening method.
