Abstract
BACKGROUND: Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) may be used as a salvage treatment in patients with cirrhosis and refractory variceal bleeding. AIM: To synthesize the available evidence on the efficacy of TIPS in patients with cirrhosis and refractory variceal bleeding.Entities:
