Miya Hook ligature carrier for sacrospinous ligament suspension.

F S Miyazaki.

Abstract

The Miya Hook ligature carrier makes sacrospinous ligament suspension of the prolapsed vagina or uterus easier and safer. Seventy-four procedures were performed in a 24-month period, chiefly by residents in training. There were no hemorrhages or injuries to nerve or rectum. The coccygeus muscle and sacrospinous ligament are one and the same fibromuscular structure.
