Mean improvement in the 36-item Short Form Health Survey questionnaire dimension and total scores for those patients declaring no improvement (n = 98) and those with little improvement (n = 277) in their quality of life. The minimal clinically important difference and minimal important change for a cohort were derived from these groups.
