Abstract
Background: SARS-CoV-2 antigen tests reliably detect individuals with high viral loads and provide an efficient diagnostic tool to manage the current SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. However, mutations in SARS-CoV-2 variants of concerns that appeared after validation of most antigen tests might impact their diagnostic performance.Entities:

Sensitivity and specificity of the LIAISON antigen test compared to rRT-PCR in NPS collected in the second and the Omicron SARS-CoV-2 pandemic wave in Switzerland.
| Sensitivity | Second wave ( | 75.8% [95%CI: 68.4–82.2%] |
| Omicron wave ( | 76.5% [95%CI: 67.8–83.8%] | |
| Specificity | Second wave ( | 100% [95%CI: 92.5–100%] |
| Omicron wave ( | 100% [95%CI: 81.5–100%] |
Sensitivity and specificity are calculated using the DiaSorin recommended cut-off of 200 TCID50/ml.

Sensitivity and specificity are calculated using the DiaSorin recommended cut-off of 200 TCID50/ml.
Fig. 1A: Positive rRT-PCR results with TCID50/ml <300 and negative rRT-PCR results from the whole study are plotted to their rRT-PCR Ct-values and shown in red and green, respectively. Ct-value of the rRT-PCR negative samples is arbitrarily set to 45. The straight line indicates the cut-off of 200 TCID50/ml recommended by DiaSorin. The dotted line indicates the highest value in TCID50/ml (58.33) of the rRT-PCR negative samples. B: ROC analysis for the LIAISON SARS-CoV-2 antigen test. Respective AUC is depicted.
