Abstract
Background: Perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT) imaging can be used in clinical practice as a surrogate marker of vascular disease. We aimed to analyze the association between the density of carotid artery PVAT and clinical features and outcomes in stroke patients treated with mechanical thrombectomy.Entities:

FIGURE 1Carotid artery perivascular adipose tissue analysis. Two regions of interest (3 mm2 in diameter) were placed in the perivascular adipose tissue on the thrombectomy side of the origin of internal carotid artery.
