PCR amplification was found using primers specific for (a) E. brunetti (~310 bp), (b) E. acervulina (~321 bp), (c) E. necatrix (~285 bp) and (d) E. mitis (~306 bp), and (e) E. tenella (~271 bp). DNA ladder of 100 bp molecular weight was used as marker.
