Abstract
Radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) has long been considered the standard of care for treatment of upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC). Despite providing oncologic control, RNU is associated with measurable morbidity and mortality. High quality data is lacking as a result of low disease incidence and very few randomized studies. In this article we will review preoperative nomograms that assist with patient counseling, summarize current knowledge about perioperative complications, and discuss adverse sequelae that may result after surgery. 2020 Translational Andrology and Urology.
