FIGURE 2Outcomes rates after coronary artery bypass grafting by glycemic control level for patients without and with diabetes. A, In‐hospital mortality. B, Major complications. Major complications included acute myocardial infarction, acute stroke, or acute renal failure. P is for the comparison with the moderate control group. Strict control: mean blood glucose <7.8 mmol/L; moderate control: mean blood glucose 7.8‐10.0 mmol/L; and liberal control: mean blood glucose ≥10.0 mmol/L
FIGURE 3Adjusted odds ratios for the relationships between glucose control and in‐hospital mortality and major complications. Propensity score‐weighted multivariable logistic regression was used with adjusting for age, sex, smoking, systolic blood pressure, low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol, chronic renal failure, congestive heart failure, previous myocardial infarction, combined valve surgery, and extracorporeal circulation. A, In‐hospital mortality. B, Major complications. Squares represent odds ratios of in‐hospital mortality, triangles represent odds ratios of major complications. Horizontal bars represent 95% confidence intervals. CI indicates confidence interval
