Abstract
The occupation of dental assistants (DAs) involves many health risks of the musculoskeletal system due to static and prolonged work, which can lead to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The aim of the study was to investigate the prevalence of MSDs in DAs in Germany.Entities:

Correlation between age/Body-Mass-Index (BMI)/body height/body weight and the number of complaint regions in lifetime prevalence, 12-month prevalence, and seven-day prevalence of MSD as well as the number of specific medical conditions. For the lifetime prevalence and specific medical conditions a partial correlation was calculated corrected for the interference factor age. Significant correlations are marked with an asterisk.
