Abstract
PURPOSE: Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a potentially fatal cardiopulmonary disease; therefore, rapid risk stratification is necessary to make decisions of appropriate management strategies. The aim of this study was to assess various computed tomography (CT) findings in order to find new prognostic factors of adverse outcome and mortality.Entities:

Only variables found to significantly predict adverse outcome or mortality in 90 days by univariable analysis were entered in the multivariable model.
Two multivariable logistic regression models are used for the variables that are significantly meaningful in univariable analysis for death < 30 days group, the first one that is shown by * includes right- sided pulmonary infarction, LV short axis (mm), IHD, and HF. The second one ** includes RV/LV, right-sided pulmonary infarction, IHD, and HF.
