Abstract
INTRODUCTION: Heart Failure (HF) is a growing public health concern in Morocco and there is a striking paucity on determinants of severe HF (SHF) in this population. The aim of this study was to identify patients admitted with HF at Ibn Rochd Hospital, Casablanca from 2011 onwards, when electronic record keeping began.Entities:

These quantitative variables among moderate and severe heart failure (HF) groups are compared by Wilcoxon Rank Sum test and expressed as median (and IQR). All other categorical variables are expressed as proportions (number (%)) and compared by Chi-Squared test or Fisher’s exact test (when the expected cell count was < 5). A p-value < 0.05 was considered as being statistically significant.
