Abstract
The aim of the present study was to access success rate of tympanoplasty and complications with interlay technique of tympanoplasty. This Longitudinal Prospective study was carried out in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, Era's Lucknow Medical College, Lucknow. 50 patients aged between 10 and 50 years of chronic otitis media mucosal type disease with dry ears were selected. Otomicroscopic, tunning fork test, pure tone audiometry were done in all patients. All patients underwent interlay tympanoplasty. Patients were followed up regularly for a minimum period of 1.5 years. Successful graft uptake was noted in 48 (96%) cases. Interlay tympanoplasty results in excellent graft uptake and good post operative Air Bone Gap closure. © Association of Otolaryngologists of India 2017.Entities:
