Abstract
BACKGROUND: Colorectal cancer prognosis varies substantially with socioeconomic status. We investigated differences in life expectancy between socioeconomic groups and estimated the potential gain in life-years if cancer-related survival differences could be eliminated.Entities:

Proportion of differences in life expectancy, between the least and most deprived groups, which can be explained by differences in either cancer differences or other cause differences by age at diagnosis for male and female colon cancer patients. Measures are given both based on the beginning of follow up after diagnosis as well as conditioning on 1-year survival
