OA: osteoarthritis, TKA: total knee arthroplasty, SONK: spontaneous osteonecrosis of knee, MCL: medial collateral ligament.
Bearing sizes at exchange for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd dislocations (if applicable) are presented in order.
Fig. 1A 61-year-old female patient underwent mobile medial unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) for medial compartmental osteoarthritis. (A) Anterior dislocation of mobile bearing occurred 31 months after medial UKA. (B) A 4-mm bearing was replaced with a 7-mm bearing. (C) Valgus limb alignment was observed with use of the thicker bearing. (D) Recurrence of bearing dislocation was noted 10 months after bearing exchange. Intraoperatively, medial collateral ligament was found to be lax. (E) Conversion to total knee arthroplasty was performed.

Values are presented as mean±standard deviation or number.
FTA: femorotibial angle.
Values represent bearing thickness (no. of patients).
Bearing thickness change between revision and index operation (no. of patients).
A value of <180° means varus alignment; a value of >180° means valgus alignment.
Positive value means varus or flexion of implant; negative value means valgus or extension of implant.
