Abstract
BACKGROUND: Right ventricular (RV) dysfunction independently predicts outcomes in human myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD). There is limited information regarding RV systolic function in dogs with MMVD. HYPOTHESIS: Right ventricular systolic function differs among stages of disease, decreasing in decompensated MMVD.
