Abstract
PURPOSES: Restorative proctocolectomy (RPC) with ileal pouch anal anastomosis (IPAA) is the procedure of choice for patients with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) and ulcerative colitis (UC) despite morbidities that can lead to pouch failure.
