Abstract
In this issue of Cancer Cell, Mello et al. investigated how p53 suppresses pancreatic cancer and discovered a key role for the tyrosine phosphatase PTPN14, a p53 transcriptional target. PTPN14 restrains YAP, curbing its potential oncogenic effects. The p53-PTPN14-YAP axis highlights the importance of signaling pathway coordination in cancer prevention.Entities:
