Abstract
A novel synthesis of thiophene thioglycosides is carried out via a one-pot reaction of sodium thiophenethiolates with α-halogeno sugars. The sodium thiophenethiolate salts were prepared using sodium cyanoethylene thiolate salts. The structures of the reaction products were established on the basis of their elemental analysis and spectral data (IR, 1H NMR, MS, and 13C NMR).Entities:
