Abstract
Perineal muscle function was measured in a group of European women 1 year after childbirth by means of a perineometer. There was no correlation between the degree of perineal trauma and subsequent muscle function. The efficiency of the perineal muscles was found to be significantly related to the extent to which women took regular exercise.Entities:
