Abstract
We describe herein a 48-year-old Caucasian woman with a history of autoimmune polyglandular syndrome type 2 who presented with pericarditis, pericardial effusion, and pericardial tamponade preceded by acute adrenal crisis in the setting of normal thyroid function. The case highlights the importance of a rare yet important complication of autoimmune polyglandular syndrome type 2 that mandates early recognition and intervention.Entities:
