Abstract
Background: Legionella pneumophila (L. pneumophila) is a gram-negative bacterium which causes Legionnaires' disease as well as Pontiac fever. The Legionella infections in patients suffering from neutropenia- as a common complication of cancer chemotherapy- can distribute rapidly.
